Specialist care for complex pregnancies — including those conceived through IVF — by an experienced obstetric team.

High-Risk Pregnancy Care
  • Fertility, obstetric & fetal care in one place
  • Experienced high-risk team
  • Advanced surgical expertise

About this treatment

Some pregnancies need closer, more specialised care — and that is our focus. Because many of our patients conceive through IVF or IUI, which can carry a higher risk, our obstetrics team has deep, day-to-day experience guiding complex pregnancies safely through to delivery.

We routinely manage advanced maternal age, twin and higher-order pregnancies, hypertensive disorders (including preeclampsia and eclampsia), diabetes in pregnancy, amniotic-fluid abnormalities, abnormal Doppler findings and maternal heart conditions — with fertility, obstetric, fetal-medicine and neonatal support all under one roof.

Our surgical team also has particular expertise in techniques for difficult situations — such as a laparoscopic approach to cervical cerclage for repeated second-trimester loss, and a modified B-Lynch suture to help control postpartum bleeding. Every plan is individualised, and your specialist will discuss what is right for you.

High-Risk Pregnancy — your questions

Common questions about this treatment. Anything else? Our team is happy to talk it through.

Factors such as older age, twins or triplets, high blood pressure, diabetes, previous losses, or conceiving through IVF can add risk. High-risk simply means we monitor more closely and plan carefully — most go on to healthy deliveries.

IVF and IUI pregnancies can carry a slightly higher risk, so we monitor them closely. Having your fertility and obstetric care in the same place means seamless continuity.

Yes — multiple pregnancies are a core part of our high-risk practice, supported by in-house fetal medicine and neonatal care.
