About this treatment

Fetal medicine focuses on the health and development of your baby during pregnancy. We offer specialised obstetric sonography, including the fetal viability scan (between 6–10 weeks) and the anomaly scan (between 19–23 weeks), to assess growth and detect chromosomal and physical abnormalities early.

Where needed, we provide genetic counselling and prenatal diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus biopsy (CVB) and non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) — giving you clear information and support to make confident decisions.

Our fetal-medicine unit performs detailed assessments in-house on GE Voluson 4D ultrasound systems — including nuchal-translucency screening, fetal echocardiography (a close look at your baby's heart), and, in specialised cases, multifetal reduction and intrauterine transfusion. This in-house depth means most families never need to travel elsewhere.

Key benefits

  • Early detection of fetal abnormalities
  • Detailed growth and anomaly assessment
  • Genetic counselling and clear guidance

Every treatment plan at Shobha IVF is personalised. The details here are a guide — your specialist will tailor each step to your unique situation.
